About

Hello, my name is Eythor Pall Eythorsson. I was born in Reykjavík, Iceland in 1984, where I currently live. The name ''Eron'' has followed me since 2003. It consists of the letters
E. R. O. and N. from my last name ''Eythorsson''. It doesn't hurt that ''Eron'' is way easier to pronounce than ''Eythor''.
When I was young I used to make things like a television set, a backpack, video cameras and briefcases out of empty cereal boxes and white paper. I would cut the cereal box apart and glue it back to gather in the shape that I needed. Then I would glue the white paper on to the shape and draw on it with crayons... Voilà, a TV set.
In 1997 I started using software to visualize my ideas. After a few years in front of the computer screen I got my first project in 2001, a CD cover for Reykjavik’s marching band. After a few years of doing posters, cd covers, books etc. I decided that I wanted
to become a graphic designer. So in 2006 I was accepted into ''Iceland Academy of the Arts'' and graduated in the spring of 2009 with a B.A. degree in graphic design.
Today I work as a freelance designer for individuals and businesses.
In design I am very detail orientated, I love doing those tiny details that nobody notices and to do research before I start the actual design process. The reason I like doing research before is so that I have all the information about the current project in my
head when I start. I think that the idea is the basis for good design. Without the idea,
you have no idea.
My favorite things about graphic design is that feeling when you see one of your work printed and 100’s of people are looking at it and the endless possibilities when it comes down to making the idea happen.
I hope someday that I will be able to design a new branding for an airliner, train company and a police force. Another design that I’ve wanted to do is the opening credits and end credits for a movie, preferably an independent movie.
